7 Things I Can’t Live Without

So I’m back from my unplanned hiatus and I’m even more excited to share my story!  So much has happened over the past few weeks and time seems to fly! I’ve thrown birthday parties, been on vacation, got my life insurance license and lately it seems there’s always something to celebrate! People ask me all the time how I manage to work full time, raise three kids, and run my businesses.  Honestly I leave that part to God.  I just stay busy creating the life of my dreams and the Universe keeps presenting awesome opportunities to me along the way. Running a blog as a business has soooo many moving parts and I love learning more about my craft. I had to take a little time to give more life to my blogging business plan.  Even at my 8-5 I show up everyday and give my best but there are certain things that help keep me going!

Coffee, please!

Ok I admit, this probably isn’t the healthiest option for the start of my day, but that first sip of coffee is delightful!  If you are a coffee drinker I know you feel the same.  I’m never fully woke during the week until I have a cup of coffee; my days start super early and I am not a morning person.  I have a coffee maker at home so I can save my money because going to Starbucks everyday gets pricey: $5/day = $25/week= $1300/yr!  I can think of so many other ways to make the most of that money. Regardless whether or not you’re a coffee drinker, healthier alternatives to jumpstart your day include exercising, reading, meditating, eating breakfast, etc.  I know I need to push myself to wake up even earlier so I can meditate or exercise as a part of my daily routine. Work in progress!

I can’t believe I was never journaling before this year, but better late than never!  Journaling has helped me tremendously through my journey of self-discovery. Yes, I will be 29 years old in a couple months, but there are still things I’m learning and starting to love about myself.  My journal is filled with some of my rawest emotions, no matter if I’m vibing high or vibing low I let it all out. Journaling is therapeutic for me and allows me to be completely honest with myself. I have found that journaling helps me heal and release negative feelings and thoughts.  Most of my entries are letters to myself or my diary. I also use my journal to write down goals for myself and to encourage myself with positive affirmations. Anyone who knows me knows how passionate I am about achieving financial freedom, and my journal’s pages are filled with money mantras where I get very specific about acquiring wealth, why I deserve it, and how I will give back once I receive it.

My life would be in shambles if it wasn’t for my planner!  I use it to remind myself of bill due dates and keep track of appointments.  I also write notes to myself in my planner.  I love mine because it has so many cute quotes in the pages.  The brand is called Happy Planner.  My planner brings order into my life and I couldn’t operate successfully without it.  Life doesn’t always go as planned, but it’s always important to plan ahead and have great things to look forward to

7 Things I Can't Live Without

I’m working hard to build a life I won’t need a vacation from.  I don’t travel as much as I would like, but so far in 2019 I have been to Georgia , California, and Florida.  There are so many places I still have on my bucket list, such as New York and Las Vegas. Ultimately I plan on getting my passport sometime this year so I can start traveling abroad.  It is my dream to visit places like Africa, India, Bali, and France to name a few. Traveling helps to relax my mind and body. It’s a refresher and a break from demands. It inspires me and opens my mind.  I like to travel every few months at minimum and luckily as a travel partner with Westgate Resorts I have access to vacation specials! You can check out our vacation specials here.

Here are a few photos from when I was in LA earlier this year.  I really love the energy in Cali!

Music is a universal language and it has carried me through some of my highest and lowest times.  I have an appreciation for all genres of music but I listen to hip hop and R&B the most. I have played music (the flute), written music, but I especially love to listen to it and feel it.  Music is so relative and I can find a song to match any mood I’m in.

Family & Friends

Life is worth living because of the people I have to share it with.  My kids especially keep me going. They are my WHY: Why I work so hard, why I never give up, and why I love so hard.  Whenever life gets you down, remember your WHY. My family is my backbone and support system. I am forever grateful for them.  I love my friends just the same. Most of my friends are moms with busy schedules like me, but we still make time to get together often.  I love laughing with my friends and exchanging ideas. My best friend in particular is my accountability partner. We encourage one another and help to keep each other focused.  I don’t know what I would do without her.

I am nothing without God.  I keep God in the center of everything I do and that’s why I keep greater faith than fear.  Actually, I have no fears because God is in me and I am protected. I consider myself spiritual/non-religious but I haven’t always been this grounded in my faith.  My spiritual journey began 2.5 years ago when I found myself in an unplanned pregnancy with my son Jase. At the time I was lost because I strayed away from God. I wasn’t making the best decisions for myself, so in order to save me from self-destruction God sent me a blessing in disguise: my only son.  At the time I didn’t know how I would handle being a mom of three kids, but I decided to trust God’s plan for me. After I had my son, life as a single mom hit me hard. So hard I broke down and found myself crying and praying all the time. I decided to surrender all my problems to God, and that’s when the transformation started taking place.  God gives me clarity, peace, and purpose and my faith is stronger than ever.

As always, thanks for stopping by today!  Feel free to keep in touch with me on social media and subscribe.
