I need to tell you the truth: I didn’t feel “ready” when I started The Presley Post.
Not when I signed the lease.
Not when I opened the doors.
Not even when I made my first big hire.
And guess what? That’s normal.
Readiness is a Myth
We spend so much time preparing to prepare.
Waiting to feel confident. Waiting for more time. Waiting until the money makes sense. Waiting until the business plan is perfect. But readiness is often just another form of fear in disguise.
And fear is clever.
It’ll sound like logic.
It’ll dress up as “being responsible.”
It’ll whisper, “Just wait a little longer…”
But I’ve learned this:
Clarity comes from movement—not from waiting.
Your First Step Doesn’t Have to Be Huge
Some of y’all think your next move has to be life-changing. But the truth is, some of the most powerful shifts are small:
- Saying out loud what you really want
- Posting your offer for the first time
- Asking for help (yes, even that’s a move)
- Charging what you’re worth—even if your voice shakes when you say it
You don’t need to be fearless. You just need to move through it.
Ready is Not a Feeling. It’s a Decision.
I didn’t feel ready to talk about money publicly because I’m still working towards my own financial goals.
But I knew I was called to help other women rewrite their money stories. So I stopped waiting to feel like an “expert” and started sharing what I did know—what I’d lived, what I’d learned, and what was changing in real time. I decided to focus on my wins and what I’ve accomplished so far: building a financial foundation, reducing debts by tens of thousands of dollars, successfully launching and scaling my first brick and mortar location, a huge credit score boost, accessing capital for my business, etc.
That’s how Money Mastery was born.
